They had work going on in our hallway during the day which was extremely noisy and in the way of us getting to the lobby. Everything every where was either dirty or broken, we had several almost tripping events due to loose pavers, loose metal or bad lighting at night.
There was a dead cockroach on the floor of the lobby bar when we arrived, we pointed it out to the bar staff, yet it stayed there for several days. The adult only pool always had kids in it wrestling and horsing around, there was no reason me to tell them to leave and the pool waitress never asked us if we wanted anything so we would have to go and order food at the cafe. The cushions on most chairs, including the ones on our patio had huge stains. The room next door had a bad water leak on the outdoor patio that made a lot of noise and always left everything wet. There was no boardwalk or mat covering the dirt down to the beach so we always tracked mud into our room. We did have a room on the first floor with a view of the ocean but it went down hill from there. This is a destination hotel for weddings and business meetings.

We asked for a menu for room service, the lady at the desk stated scan the code on your phone in the room. We couldn't get lunch or dinner unless it was from the bar kitchen outside. I wouldn't be so upset if the y discounted the rooms, or if the issues were advertised in advance. I was asleep and would jump awake many times. Lastly, when I was relaxing and napping on the large loungers facing the beach by a concrete path, the staff were always walking by on phone calls on speaker talking and laughing loudly. My 2 year old grandson could not nap at 12pm anyday we were there. They were starting renovations and drilling and moving stuff around the property from 8am until sunset. The hotel has 2 piers on the water that are closed from the storms that happened previously. The prettiest part of the hotel is the picture you see with the path walking to the beach with the ponds on the sides. The restaurants onsite were not opened according to the hours advertised. We had to walk up and down an old dingy stairway that a guest fell down the stairs and broke her ankle bad. The housekeepers were using the one main elevator and not letting guest use them. The elevators were either out of service, or run down and hot. There were a few staff that was nice, but most of them acted as if your bothering them. It needs to be updated bad and is over rated.
